Air Mauritius

The Air Mauritius Travel Oscars take place annually and have become a sought-after event in the travel industry. Towards the end of 2017, having seen Creative Directions’ presentation for the BARSA conference, Carla da Silva, the dynamic Chairman of BARSA and Air Mauritius Regional General Manager: Southern Africa and Latin America, approached us to assist with the 2018 event.

 

The event is always held at a new venue and this year it was the turn of The Scarlet Ribbon. The venue lent itself to a Manhattan nightclub style and, with the theme ‘Night of the Stars’ having been chosen, we decked the room out in strings of tiny lights which twinkled above the audience. On the tables, internally-lit city-skyline lanterns and glass domes brought the theme to magical life.

 

Kevin Greenberg and Lindiwe Maxolo provided sultry piano and vocals throughout the evening and the audience loved them so much that they even threw in an extra set! The music, the décor, the delightful food, the stylish and exciting atmosphere and the sheer generosity of Air Mauritius and the people that are involved with them made the evening an incredibly special and memorable one.
